Aimbridge Hospitality has been tapped as the new manager of the Sugar Bay Resort in St Thomas, the company announced Tuesday. The 294-room all-inclusive property will also be undergoing a “multi-million capital investment,” the company said, which is slated to begin later this year.

Canada's Sunwing Travel plans to build a $250 million hotel in the southeastern Mexican state of Quintana Roo, the Tourism Secretariat said. The hotel and tour company plans to build the 1,250-room Royalton Riviera Cancun next year in Puerto Morelos, a city on Mexico's Caribbean coast.

Starwood’s Aloft brand has made its debut in Cancun, Mexico. The property is located in the Hotel Zone, adjacent to Cancun Center, the city’s convention and exhibition center, and walking distance from dining, shopping and nightlife.
