Capella Hotels and Resorts will launch a renovation project to re-brand St. Lucia’s Discovery at Marigot Bay resort as Capella Marigot Bay, St. Lucia. Capella Hotels acquired the resort in August of this year.

Several Nassau Paradise Island hotels and resorts are offering travelers who book air-inclusive packages of four nights or more by Nov. 4, 2013 $250 in “Instant Savings.” The offer applies to travel from Oct. 7, 2013 through April 10, 2014.

The $3.5 billion Baha Mar resort is two-thirds-complete and has officially reached the “pre-opening” phase, said Sarkis Izmirlian, the resort’s CEO, who provided New York media with an update on the massive Bahamian development Wednesday.

In preparation for the winter season, Breezes Bahamas in Nassau completed a refurbishment of its 391 guestrooms and suites, updated the lobby/entertainment area and added free in-room and property-wide WiFi.
