The brand will replace the JW Marriott brand at a planned project in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The condominium-hotel development is the brainchild of Venezuela-based Desarrollos Hotelco, which recently opened the Ritz-Carlton Aruba last year.
The Guayaquil Marriott will be the company’s third property in Ecuador and is being developed by Hotecapsa, overseen by Mr. Angel P. Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez is a major local developer in Guayaquil.
