Hotels on the island are at full capacity with thousands of masquerade band revelers and bystanders eagerly awaiting the highlight of the festival, the parade of the bands on Carnival Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 15 and 16.
Grammy award-winning singer and pianist John Legend will headline the first-ever Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival, Sept. 3 and 4. Legend will be joined by George Benson and Sergio Mendes as well as other international acts.

It was announced today that the island nation of Aruba will host a new international film festival (the nation’s first), The Aruba International Film Festival (AIFF), which will take place June 4-10, 2010. Details were unveiled at a press conference today by AIFF Founders and Producers Giuseppe Cioccarelli and Jonathan Vieira, along with the Festival’s Artistic Director Claudio Masenza, at the Radisson Hotel & Resort in Aruba’s Palm Beach.
