MITM is the only MICE travel trade exhibition daring to request from its exhibitors to evaluate MITM, by answering five questions related to the event. The recent XVII edition of MITM Americas, Meetings and Incentive Travel Market in El Salvador, gave the following results:

The annual event is a highly anticipated addition to Cayman’s Culinary Month calendar featuring cuisine from more than 40 of Cayman’s top restaurants. This year’s event is set to take place on January 28, 2012, and pre-sold bulk tickets are being offered at a reduced rate for holiday gift giving.

The Council for the International Promotion of Costa Rica Medicine (PROMED) announces the 2012 Medical Travel Summit to be held April 23-25, 2012 in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Summit will be held at the well-appointed Real Intercontinental Hotel in Escazu, Costa Rica, close to excellent shopping, nightlife and a variety of local and international dining options.

The World Travel & Tourism Council has announced that its 13th Global Summit will be held in Abu Dhabi in either April or May 2013. The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and Eithad Airways will be the official hosts.

Madrid is using a festival to highlight its culinary culture. From Jan. 23 to Feb. 5, Madrid’s streets will host a wealth of gastronomic and cultural activities. Gastrofestival will feature nearly 300 participants. The third edition includes two new sections -- Gastrohealth and Wine Culture.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) will hold its first Regional Summit on May 16 to 18 in Mexico. The Regional Summit will be hosted in Cancun, Quintana Roo, by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism.
