Silversea Cruises’ ships now have full wireless capability throughout all areas of its ships, the luxury line said.
Inuit-owned Cruise North Expeditions is introducing two new Northern itineraries for summer 2007: a seven-night Newfoundland & Labrador expedition from St. John’s to Goose Bay and an eight-night exploration of Labrador’s northern coast, one of Canada’s least-visited and most stunning regions.
Crystal Cruises has released the survey results of its Top 10 rated Crystal Adventures shore excursions in the Caribbean. Based on surveys of guests on the luxury line’s 2006 and early 2007 Caribbean and Panama Canal cruises, more than half of the excursions on the list were rated a perfect 10.
Cruise ships have been banned from anchoring at a secondary dock facility in Grand Cayman because, according to a government official, their anchor chains have damaged coral reefs along the sea floor.
With two major additions to its growing modern fleet and an expanded variety of itineraries, 2008-09 will be a landmark year for MSC Cruises. MSC Cruises will add two new ships to its fleet in 2008, including the newest in its “Musica” class of Panamax vessels and its largest ship ever.
Cruise liner Royal Caribbean returned to Colombia on April 18, carrying 2,500 passengers on board, after six years of absence. The cruise company said the Cartagena port visit is the first of 36 that Royal Caribbean will be making between April 2007 and May 2008.
