The eastern city of Santiago de Cuba, the capital of the province of the same name, is a major destination for cruise ships.

MSC Cruises will more than double its presence in the Caribbean next winter with the addition of the MSC Orchestra, currently its newest and largest ship.

Citing 23 percent additional cruise capacity in the Mediterranean this summer, Crystal Cruises said that the region is experiencing softness, and Crystal is launching an unprecedented discount for customers and a promotion designed to get travel agents on Crystal ships in the region.

The Sonesta Nile Goddess will be relaunched in February after extensive renovation. Originally launched in 1989 as Sonesta’s first ship, the renovation of the Sonesta Nile Goddess includes all cabins, suites, restaurants and public spaces. The ship features 49 standard cabins, four suites with private terrace and four junior suites.
