Crystal Cruises will host more than two dozen jazz legends and contemporary artists on the Crystal Symphony’s Nov. 30 Mexican Riviera cruise from Los Angeles. The seven-day cruise will visit Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

Royal Caribbean International will offer sailings in Australia, Asia, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean in winter 2009-10. The three- to 18-night itineraries are operated by three Royal Caribbean ships.

Helicopter rides, kayaking expeditions and golfing outings are some of the new Crystal Adventures being offered for Crystal Cruises’ fall 2008 New England and Canada itineraries.

Celebrity Cruises’ new Celebrity Solstice will enter service with a Thanksgiving cruise departing Nov. 23, three weeks earlier than its previously announced date of Dec. 14. The Solstice then will operate by two additional seven-night Caribbean cruises departing Nov. 30 and Dec. 7.

European shipping consortium Clipper Group purchased the two coastal cruisers built for the now-defunct American Classic Voyages. Clipper took possession of the 224-passenger vessels, Cape May Light and Cape Cod Light, on May 28.

Azamara Cruises opened the books on its Asia itineraries for the 2009-2010 season, which will include a series of 14- to 18-day southeast and northeast Asian cruises and two 24-day repositioning trips, each featuring two to six in-port overnight calls.
