San Diego Bay will host nine cruise lines during more than 200 voyages this year. San Diego is the year-round homeport for Carnival Cruise Lines’ Elation. Holland America Line and Celebrity Cruises also homeport ships seasonally in San Diego.
The Yachts of Seabourn said it is reducing the fares on European cruises this year by 50 to 65 percent off the published brochure fares. The new fares start at $2,999 per person for a seven-day Mediterranean voyage, based on double occupancy.
Globus is offering $200 off per person on the air-inclusive price of a Portugal river cruise when booked by March 31. Cruisers interested in booking their own airfare receive $100 off per person. The 11-day vacation begins with free time in Lisbon before traveling to Oporto to embark on a seven-night cruise.
Windstar Cruises is partnering with Cruise Strategies Ltd. to expand the line’s presence in Canada. With this new partnership, Windstar will work closely with Cruise Strategies’ sales and marketing team to plan and implement sales as well as provide marketing, public relations and communications support to increase awareness of the line in the burgeoning Canadian marketplace.
