Fred Olsen Cruises is offering special pricing on a 13-night cruise that departs Manhattan on Oct. 23 and cruises to the Canadian Maritimes, across the Atlantic and Ireland before ending in Dover.

Carnival Cruise Lines officially took delivery of its newest and largest ship, the 130,000-ton Carnival Dream, during a traditional maritime handover ceremony at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, on Sept. 18.

Carnival Cruise Lines’ new 130,000-ton Carnival Dream will introduce outdoor laser shows that will combine laser technology with rock music. The 15-minute nighttime shows will feature choreographed lasers projecting aerial patterns of blue, red and green set to music by artists such as Styx, Rush, Van Halen, Boston and Pink Floyd. Smoke machines will be used to enhance the laser light effects.
