Royal Caribbean and the operator of Shanghai’s cruise port have agreed to jointly promote cruising in China. Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) and Royal Caribbean signed a memorandum of understanding in Shanghai on Monday.

Destination specialist Voyages of Discovery has launched its summer 2010 cruise atlas with 20 percent early-booking savings and low-cost air add-ons from 25 North American cities.

St. Kitts’ Port Zante can physically accommodate Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship.

Royal Caribbean International named seven high-profile godmothers for the 225,000-ton Oasis of the Seas, one for each of the neighborhoods on the world’s largest cruise ship.

French Country Waterways announced a new program called “Casual Cruising” for 2010 aboard its 18-passenger luxury barge Esprit. Pricing for this new style of barging is $2,495 to $3,495 per person, double. Guests aboard the Esprit, sailing in France’s Cote d’Or region between St. Leger-sur-Dheune and Pontailler-sur-Saone, are met at and returned to a Dijon hotel.

Holland America Line’s Amsterdam and Prinsendam will each sail two Grand Voyages in 2011. When combined, the four itineraries feature a total of 308 cruising days, 121 ports of call and 65 countries.
