Celebrity Cruises announced plans to add new Solstice-class features to the Celebrity Infinity during a scheduled dry-dock in early December 2011.

SeaDream Yacht Club’s SeaDream I and II has introduced its 2012 winter and spring itineraries. The two mega-yachts will spend the late fall 2011 and early 2012 sailing the Caribbean. In addition, SeaDream II will add two 20-day voyages to the Amazon in February 2012.

Less than one week after a tour bus robbery prompted Carnival Cruise Lines and Princess Cruises to bypass two mid-week scheduled port calls in St. Kitts, executives from both lines have announced the reinstatement of their original schedules.

Holland America Line has launched a fan-friendly Facebook contest called “Win the Key to Half Moon Cay.” Named for the line’s private Bahamian island, the contest runs through Jan. 3.

In 2011, Crystal Cruises is doubling the number of summer North Cape cruises with two departures to Norway’s western coast, the Polar Ice Cap and the Arctic Circle. The June 13 Wine & Food-themed cruise celebrates the summer solstice on June 21, officially the longest day of the year, when the sun stays above the horizon.
