Air Berlin will start flying from Belfast City Airport to eight destinations in Europe via its hub in London Stansted. There will be departures morning and evening each way during the week, and one flight each way on Saturday and Sunday. With fast trains from Stansted to Liverpool Street station in London´s financial district, and Air Berlin´s superfast transfer system including full baggage transfer at London Stansted, the airline is targeting both business customers going to the City and holidaymakers transferring onto Europe, as well as the typical low-cost customer who appreciates Air Berlin´s superior customer service.

Air Jamaica, the Caribbean´s leading airline, is celebrating in 2006 the 10th anniversary of its entry into the UK market. This comes after the carrier´s most successful year to date in 2005, and the announcement this month of its best ever punctuality and reliability rate. In 1996 Air Jamaica launched a three-times-a-week A310 service to Jamaica, and ten years on, this has become a daily A340 service.

Easyjet has announced what it claims is its most significant expansion for two years after launching new routes to Marrakech, Istanbul and Croatia´s third largest city, Rijeka. Daily services will operate from Gatwick to Marrakech from July 4 and from Luton to Istanbul from June 29 with a four times weekly frequency from Luton to Rijeka beginning on June 30.

Frontier Airlines will begin new service between its Denver International Airport (DEN) hub and Calgary International Airport (YYC) in Alberta, Canada beginning May 25, 2006. The two daily non-stops between Denver and Calgary will utilize Frontier´s JetExpress service operated by Horizon Air. The new service will also offer convenient connections to 38 Frontier cities throughout the US including Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Orlando and Washington D.C., as well five Mexican resorts including Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Mazatlan and Cozumel.

Air Canada inaugurated daily non-stop service between New York (JFK) and Calgary, Alberta with a new, state-of-the-art Embraer E190 jet. “We are delighted to launch our new JFK-Calgary route offering convenient, daily non-stop flights onboard our next-generation Embraer E190 jets,” said Marc Rosenberg, Vice President Sales and Product Distribution, Air Canada.

In April, American Airlines celebrates its 80th anniversary with special introductory fares on new daily nonstop service between Chicago and Shanghai, China -- the airline´s first service to China, one of the world´s fastest growing markets for commercial aviation. American began service between Chicago and St. Louis, Missouri, in April 1926. Now, 80 years later, Shanghai will be the 21st international destination served by American and its affiliate, American Eagle, from Chicago as the airline continues to expand its operations in Asia. More than 300,000 companies based in the Chicago area, including 34 Fortune 500 companies, will benefit from nonstop service to one of China´s largest business centers.
