Zoom Airlines Ltd., the U.K. unit of Canada’s Zoom Airlines Inc., says it plans to start low-cost flights between London’s Gatwick airport and New York beginning June 21.

Air Canada reported a record load factor of 83.8 percent in March 2007, the highest ever for the month.

American Airlines, immediately looking to take advantage of the U.S.-Argentina agreement that will allow more airline service between the two countries, has asked the Transportation Department for approval to begin daily service from Chicago (O’Hare) to Buenos Aires October 28.

GOL, the Sao Paulo-based Brazilian low-cost carrier, has inked a Limited Connect distribution agreement with Worldspan. The agreement enables GOL to expand its reach to travel buyers worldwide through Worldspan’s multi-channel travel distribution network. GOL’s schedules, availability, low fares and booking capabilities will be available to all Worldspan travel agency, corporate and online points of sale worldwide.

British Airways and Worldspan have signed a new three-year, global distribution agreement. The agreement, which establishes Worldspan as a preferred distribution channel for the airline, will provide Worldspan customers worldwide with access to British Airways' full inventory, availability and fares.

Brazilian no-frills air carrier GOL has reportedly received approval from the National Civil Aviation Agency to complete the transfer of VRG to GTI S.A., a wholly owned subsidiary of GOL.
