TAM and TAP Portugal are broadening the codeshare agreement signed between the two companies to offer daily connections between Portugal and Argentina. The partnership allows TAP to sell, with its own code, the flights operated by TAM to Buenos Aires, Argentina, via Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Airfare monitoring website FareCompare.com reported that Northwest Airlines upped its domestic fares by nearly $80 roundtrip in over 4,000 city pairs for both business and leisure travelers.
Tourism Corporation Bonaire has announced that beginning December 20, 2008 Delta Air Lines will add a weekly nonstop flight from New York to and from Bonaire. Delta Air Lines flight 553 will depart John F. Kennedy International Airport Saturdays at 10:35 a.m. arriving into Bonaire’s Flamingo International Airport at 4:25 p.m.
American Airlines will open another new route from South Florida to the Caribbean this fall when the airline begins nonstop service from Miami to the southern Caribbean island of Grenada.
American Airlines, which offers more flights from South Florida than any other airline, will begin daily nonstop service from Miami to Antigua this fall -- the only nonstop service currently scheduled between Miami and the eastern Caribbean island.
LIAT, the Caribbean airline is picking the slack in anticipation of the reduction of flights by American Eagle between St Kitts and Puerto Rico. The Antigua-based carrier has announced a direct service to Puerto Rico leaving St Kitts daily at 1:15 pm and arriving in Puerto Rico at 2:25 pm.
