For a limited time, Air Jamaica is offering low fares for travel to Jamaica’s capital city, Kingston. Passengers traveling from Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, New York or Chicago can take advantage of these deals by purchasing tickets on or before Aug. 4. Travel is valid from Aug. 18 to Nov. 17.
Air Italy kicked off direct flights to Havana on with the arrival last week at the Jose Marti International Airport of a Boeing 767 with 200 passengers on board, including a delegation of Italian journalists. The initiative constitutes the first direct connection between Italy and Cuba through that air carrier.

The budget airline said it was cutting capacity this winter by 40 percent. It will operate 40 aircraft during the summer and 24 aircraft this winter. It said the cuts would mean a 30 percent reduction in the number of weekly flights and 2.5 million fewer passengers carried between October and March 2010.
Air Jamaica is offering deeply discounted fares to passengers traveling to Jamaica and Curacao who book in Lovebird Executive Class by Aug. 3. Lovebird Executive Class features wide seats, more legroom, delicious meals, complimentary champagne, wine and premium liquors, free in-flight entertainment and extra baggage allowance. All fares are based on round-trip travel. Government taxes and fees are additional. Conditions regarding black-out periods, cancellations and other charges apply.
The Mustique Company forged a partnership with Grenadine Airways which will provide direct flights in and out of Mustique, exclusively for villa owners and guests of the island.
This new enterprise, a first for the island, will improve the flight service to Mustique on a variety of levels: it will serve to increase seat availability, diminish the “island hopping” of some flights and ultimately enhance service for the Mustique traveler.
