Continental Airlines has installed new flat-bed Business First Seats on 25 aircraft and complete other additional amenities. The carrier’s flat-bed seats made their operational debut in November 2009 and are being installed on aircraft used on long-haul international routes. Currently, the seats are being installed on Continental’s Boeing 777 and 757-200 fleets, with 11 777s and 14 757-200s completed.
Delta Air Lines has put hundreds of domestic and international destinations on sale for travel this fall, with savings on 21-day advance purchase tickets to many popular destinations. Tickets must be purchased no later than July 29, with all travel completed by Nov. 17.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner made its international debut landing at the Farnborough Airport over the weekend in support of the Farnborough International Airshow that begins Monday. “It’s an honor to showcase the 787 here at the Farnborough Airshow,” said Scott Fancher, vice president and general manager of the 787 program, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “I can’t think of a finer stage on which to present this highly anticipated airplane.”
Delta Air Lines has submitted an application to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to expand its service between the United States and Brazil, which would allow increased flights between the airline’s Detroit hub and Sao Paulo.
Lufthansa has announced two exclusive offers for passengers selecting the airline’s Lufthansa Private Jet, which provides point-to-point service between more than 1,000 destinations in Europe and the Russian Federation, including seamless service to and from trans-Atlantic flights at the group’s hubs in Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf and Zurich (Swiss).
