The 10-year dream of nonstop travel from Southwest Florida International Airport to the Caribbean came true Sunday with Sun Country Airlines Flight 381 to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines, members of LATAM Airlines Group, have opened the largest VIP lounge in South America at Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport Santiago, Chile. LATAM Airline’s new VIP lounge is spread over two floors and caters for LATAM’s passengers with excellent facilities to satisfy even the most discerning traveler’s demands.

The Canadian vacation giant has added a series of new flights to Cuba, the company announced this week. The company announced that it would be re-introducing direct flights from the city of Val d’Or in Quebec to both Varadero and Holguin, with new Monday and Tuesday flights beginning Dec. 21.

Oman Air is has launched a new codeshare agreement with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. The agreement came into effect on Wednesday April 15th 2015 and enables Oman Air’s customers to book onto flights operated by KLM between Muscat and Amsterdam.  

Canadian travel firm Sunwing continues to expand its air service to Cuba. The carrier announced this week that it would be launching a new weekly winter flight between Kitchener-Waterloo in Canada and Cayo Santa Maria in Cuba.

Norwegian continues to expand its long-haul network with new direct routes. Starting November 2015, Norwegian will launch a nonstop service between London Gatwick and the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico.
