The United States and Cuba plan to hold talks in Havana next week on normalizing airline service, a U.S. official said on Tuesday, a step that could benefit U.S. carriers.

Caribbean Airlines, the regional carrier and national airline of Trinidad and Tobago, has announced a fall schedule designed to “facilitate better connectivity within the Caribbean and between North and South America,” said airline officials.

Caribbean Airlines, Trinidad and Tobago’s national airline, recently launched its fall schedule, effective September 10th, 2015.

For the seventh year, Air France-KLM is also leader of the broader "Transport" sector, including air, rail, sea and road transport, as well as airport operations.

LIAT was forced to suspend its services to Dominica on August 27 following the passage of Tropical Storm Erika, which resulted in widespread damage to the island and the closure of the airport.

Regularly scheduled airline flights connecting the Cuba and the United States could back on the schedule as soon as next year. U.S. airlines say they're eager to begin regular service to Cuba.
