France just got a little closer to the islands of the Bahamas, thanks to an interline agreement signed between Bahamasair and Air Caraïbes.

Flair Airlines’ route network will more than double starting June 15, with new summer schedule flights out of Halifax, Saskatoon, Calgary, Prince George, and Victoria.

The U.S. and the Caribbean nation of Grenada have entered into an open skies agreement, allowing for unrestricted market access for airlines to fly between the two countries.

European airspace authorities are warning aircraft to be careful over the next days when flying close to Syria because of possible military action against President Bashar Assad’s forces.

In 2017, a record number of 965 million airline passengers flew to the United States which accounted a 3.4 percent growth over 2016.

Total revenue passenger kilometers for February rose 7.6 percent compared to February 2017, up from 4.6 percent year-over-year growth in January.
