WTO’s new website for the Americas

The Regional Representation for the Americas –in charge of WTO’s actions in the area- has built a new hyperlink-related website within the WTO’s own homepage. Surfers can now click on this new Internet site and download information either in English and Spanish. Upcoming events scheduled by the Regional Representation’s office in the different countries –the 40th Meeting of the WTO Regional Commission for the Americas to be held in May 2003 in Paraguay is a case in point- are announced in it.

Users of the world wide web can equally download and print out documents containing introductory reports and major conclusions reached in previous meetings. An illustrating instance is the Declaration of Galapagos that followed the First Summit of Iberian-American and Caribbean Ministers of Tourism and the Environment held in Galapagos Islands (Ecuador) in May 2002.

Furthermore, the brand-new website also features activities carried out by the member states, hyperlinks to all national tourism administrations and a description of publications dealing with an assortment of interesting topics (these articles can be bought online, including other pieces recently put out in Portuguese.
