WORLDHOTELS to Adopt Flexible Pricing Strategy in 2006
WORLDHOTELS has announced plans to adopt a flexible pricing strategy for 2006, providing consortia and travel management partners with a guarantee of the best, unrestricted rate available.
“Travel Buyers are heading into the toughest hotel negotiating season in years –a climate created by a strong rebound in business travel and overall occupancy and limited hotel supply growth. This pricing approach will move buyers away from traditional fixed rates to a structure that better responds to market conditions throughout the year,” said Christian Fiederer, Vice President EMEA from WORLDHOTELS.
In Mr. Fiederer´s opinion, the 2006 season is poised to be a sellers market and he believes it´s the right time to move to flexible pricing, providing the agency partners with a guarantee of the best rates money can buy.
WORLDHOTELS will display its member hotel´s best available rate along with the Consortia Rate as a ceiling rate to all consortia via the GDS, with the consortium deciding which of the two rates is the better value for its customers.
