WEB Aruba N.V. Inks Accord with GE-IONICS

Aruba´s water & electricity plant , WEB Aruba N.V. signed a contract to buy an innovative U.S. GE-IONICS water plant.
The contract entails the purchase of a desalination plant to produce potable water. The project replaces and expands the production of water at a total cost of 31 million Aruban florins.
The replacement and expansion project is to guarantee a continuous, reliable production of water to the community in the years to come.
The project is an innovative advance technology which desalinates sea water by the process of Reversed Osmosis and will replace the traditional way of desalinating water on Aruba for the last 75 years.
The new plant is programmed to enter service by September 2007.
