Virgin Atlantic Reaches Half a Dozen Daily Flights to the Big Apple

Virgin Atlantic Airways announced that it will be introducing an additional daily JFK service, increasing its flights between Heathrow and New York from five to six a day. The new daily service will be the airline´s second daylight flight from New York and will operate from July 2006.

In conjunction with the new JFK service, also beginning in July 2006, the VS009 will change from its current departure time to a new Heathrow departure time. These changes will allow Virgin Atlantic to bring the VS010 departure from JFK forward.

Virgin Atlantic launched flights between London and New York - Newark in June 1984 and services to JFK in August 1989. Since then Virgin has flown over 12 million passengers between London and New York.
