Spanish online travel agency Viajar.com has chosen OpenJaw’s platform to manage its online distribution of scheduled and low cost carrier air inventory.

Viajar.com, which became become OpenJaw Technologies’ first Latin customer, required a single distribution platform which would enable it to connect to multiple GDS and LCC supplier systems and which would enable Viajar.com to have full control over the management and definition of its own business processes for the supply and distribution of this inventory.

Ricardo Navarro Ales, OpenJaw Technologies’ regional manager for Iberian and Latin American Markets said that Viajar.com aptly demonstrates the flexibility of company’s online distribution platform to manage inventory from multiple suppliers and to quickly and easily implement business decisions on the switching and redistribution of this inventory.

“Also, by having control over the management of its supplier connections, Viajar.com can switch between suppliers for international and domestic air supply depending on prices and inventory availability,” said Mr. Ales.

According to an official release, OpenJaw’s XML based xDistributor platform with its inbuilt business rules engine fulfils all requirement for Viajar.com, providing it with the flexibility to combine GDS and LCC inventory in addition to other supply sources and redistribute it via a range of consumer, corporate and call centre interfaces.

Viajar.com is implementing OpenJaw’s xRez booking engine for the development of its B2B and B2C distribution channels.
