Veteran Hospitality Industry Executive Appointed President of Baha Mar
Don C. Robinson, a 34-year career veteran of The Walt Disney Company, has been appointed president of Baha Mar Resorts Ltd., in the Bahamas. The announcement was made today by Sarkis Izmirlian, CEO, Baha Mar Resorts.
As president, Mr. Robinson will manage day-to-day responsibilities for Baha Mar, including leading Phase One development of the project; brand marketing; coordinating cross-property services; and leading the operations and renovations of Cable Beach Resorts, the three properties acquired by Baha Mar in 2005 located side-by-side along Nassau´s famed beach and currently undergoing extensive renovations.
Mr. Robinson will also be responsible for managing relationships between Baha Mar and its principal joint venture partners, Starwood and Harrah´s; the Government of the Bahamas; and other strategic partners.
Prior to joining Baha Mar Resorts, Don Robinson served as Executive Vice President and Group Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland, where he held overall responsibility for the planning, design, development, and opening of the new Disneyland Hong Kong in 2005.
