Venezuela Bans Air Comet from Flying over its Territory
Reliable sources told Caribbean News Digital that Venezuela has also shut its airspace to Air Comet jetliners. This information comes on the heels of an incident occurred last week when Brazilian authorities forced an aircraft flown by that airline to turn back to Spain as a pending 10 million euro debt could not be worked out.
These episodes bear out the airline’s complete agony generated by a backlog of unpaid debts the company has been piling up in recent months, including overdue taxes to Spanish social security and back wages to its own employees.
