Velas Resorts Names Ana Gon-Ryan VP-Sales & Marketing

Ana Gon-Ryan has been named vice president of sales and marketing, tour and travel in the United States and Canada for Mexico-based Velas Resorts.

With 30 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, Gon-Ryan is responsible for working with top North America and European tour operators to develop sales strategies and air/hotel packages for the company’s four resorts.

Most recently, she was vice president of sales and marketing for Group RCI (Wyndham Worldwide Corp.) in Parsipanny, N.J., where she implemented new trade and e-commerce distribution channels for the Endless Vacation Rentals in Mexico.

Prior to that, she was North American director of sales, wholesale for Dallas-based Posadas USA, Inc., where she developed sales and marketing tactics with U.S. and Canadian wholesalers and e-commerce companies.

Other travel industry experience includes sales and management positions in Mexico City with Grupo Posadas de Mexico, Grupo Meca and other Mexican inbound tour companies.
