Vacation.Com, Travel Zone Partner on Agent RC Portal

Vacation.com partnered with The Travel Zone, a technology solutions company, to offer members access to the Agent RC platform at an exclusive Vacation.com member rate. Agent RC is an affordable, web-based portal that provides host agencies with the ability to support and communicate effectively with their networks of outside and in-house agents.

The web-based portal is designed to allow travel agencies of any size to recruit, manage and support an outside agent network. The point-and-click application can be integrated and customized to allow staff, outside agents, clients and suppliers to collaborate and communicate.

Upon opening the Agent RC platform, users are able to view a dashboard-style homepage, which displays a 360-degree view of their entire business and activity, including sales, commissions, tasks, notes, leads, clients, bookings, communications and industry alerts. The entire platform is fully customizable, and host agencies can integrate any content, document, hyperlink, GDS or third-party reservation tool into their portals.

The integrated Booking Manager is an advanced trip manager system within the platform that allows home-based agents to create customized web pages for each booking, as well as update and create a full color trip quote and invoice for each client. Proposals can be sent via email to clients, and payments can be managed within the tracking and management system.

Other features of the Agent RC platform include: a consumer website system; a live chat system, for instant communication with other agents and/or clients; Commission Manager, an online commission management and tracking system; Contact CRM Manager, where agents can store and manage their client databases; Community, where agents can communicate via chat room and message boards; and Database Manager, which allows agencies to create complex forms and online databases to track and manage information.

Features that will soon be added include: Inside Agent Role, whereby any retail storefront agency can provide inside agents with access to the portal with desktop CRM, booking tools and task manager; and Supplier Role, which allows preferred Vacation.Com travel suppliers to automatically push content into agency portals.
