USVI Hotel & Tourism Association Elects Marc Langevin Chairman

Marc Langevin, general manager of the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas, has been elected as the new board chairman for the USVI Hotel & Tourism Association. Langevin replaces Richard Doumeng, who served as chairman for more than six years. Langevin is a hotel executive with more than 25 years of hospitality industry experience.

He began his hospitality career in recreation management with Club Med in the 1980s in various resorts around the world, from Europe to Africa, and the Caribbean, followed by opening several hotels in Las Vegas as restaurant manager, including Main Street Station Casino, The Flamingo Hilton, Treasure Island at the Mirage and Bellagio.

He then joined The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles as assistant food and beverage director, managing the Polo Lounge. Langevin first joined The Ritz-Carlton in 2001 as the E.A.M food and beverage director at The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland and went on to serve as resort manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. Langevin was appointed general manager at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas in 2006. A native Parisian, Langevin speaks fluent English, French and German.
