Two New Execs Appointed to Cuba´s Varadero

Felix Diesch has just taken over as new general manager of the Maritim Varadero Beach Resort in Cuba´s premier sun-and-sand destination. With ample experience and positive outcomes in the tourist sector worldwide, Mr. Diesch has worked in Cuba for prestigious hotel chains Holiday Inc and Milton, especially in the travel circuit of Holguin. He also acted as general manager of LTI Costa Verde Hotel.

Caribbean News Digital also learned that Nestor Garcia Iturbides has been appointed general manager of Playa Varadero 1920 Hotel, owned by Cuban travel company Gaviota S.A. A graduate of Hotel Management in Havana and with several post graduation courses on tourism administration under his belt, Mr. Garcia Iturbides has served as deputy general manager of the Sol Club Rio de Mares Hotel in Holguin, assistant general manager of the Breezes Costa Verde Hotel, formerly run by SuperClubs, and deputy GM of Playa Pesquero Resort, both also in the province of Holguin.
