TripIt, the mobile trip organizer from Concur, released an update to the TripIt app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, giving travelers an easy way to find nearby restaurants and shops, upload photos and make changes to their itinerary from anywhere.

Travelers can simply snap a photo of their trip itinerary using their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and attach it directly to the flight information in their TripIt itinerary. Photos also can be helpful for capturing baggage claim tickets, receipts, hotel room numbers or items to remember later.

In addition, trip plans are now automatically displayed on a map, making it easy for travelers to find a restaurant, print shop or pharmacy near their hotel while on the road. With the click of a button, new discoveries from the traveler's map search can be added to their itinerary, or they can get point-by-point directions.

Travelers already familiar with the TripIt app will also recognize a new, improved way to add, edit or delete trip plans right from the app. TripIt organizes all travel reservations and activities into one itinerary, which can easily be shared with others. The TripIt app is available for free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore. An ad-free version is also available for $3.99.
