Tripadvisor Introduces Traveler Lists & Tours for Smartphones‎

TripAdvisor has introduced a beta version of Traveler Lists & Tours across all its TripAdvisor Mobile products. The new feature is now available on its apps for Nokia, iPhone, and Android smartphones, and the TripAdvisor mobile website, which is accessible on all major mobile phones.

These lists, written by real travelers, offer inside tips and secrets for travelling to cities around the world. There are more than 7,500 lists and tours now available at travelers’ fingertips on TripAdvisor Mobile.

Travelers can access the Traveler Lists & Tours feature, and also add lists of their own, by visiting the homepage on the TripAdvisor Nokia, iPhone, and Android apps, or by visiting www.tripadvisor.com/GoLists on the TripAdvisor mobile website. The company believes that the ability to find the best places around a user is a key advantage of connected mobile services.

In late July, TripAdvisor formed a partnership with Nokia, which includes an Ovi app for Nokia’s Ovi Store, and integration of the TripAdvisor service into Nokia’s Ovi Maps. The TripAdvisor for Nokia app allows travelers to search for popular hotels, restaurants and attractions in their vicinity, as well as find the cheapest airfares available. Nokia users can find and filter hotels and attractions by rating, distance and price.

With such applications, users get immediate access to the latest user reviews of the restaurants, hotels, and attractions in their immediate area, or anywhere else in the world they may want to discover while on the go.
