Trinidad & Tobago Appoints Beautiful Planet as India Representative
Tourism Development Company of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago has appointed Mumbai-headquartered Beautiful Planet as its representative in India. Beautiful Planet now has the responsibility to formulate and implement tourism marketing strategy for the country in India.
They will also focus on creating awareness among the public about the many attractions of the islands besides educating the travel trade fraternity about what the islands offers as a destination. The focus segments for now are FIT and honeymooners, and also extension holidays from various destinations.
Initially Trinidad & Tobago might not emerge as a standalone destination, but will be either clubbed with the US or UK. Besides the US, Fraser points out that there are good flight connections to the islands from Gatwick in London, Amsterdam and even Canada.
A significant fact is that there are no visa requirements for Indians visiting the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago – a visa waiver scheme has been introduced for Indian citizens. The Caribbean Islands is a year round destination with attractions varying from exotic beaches and underwater reefs to history and culture.
