Travelport Appoints Meier Chief Commercial Officer

Travelport GDS has announced that Armin Meier will join the company on June 1, on a part-time basis and assume the role of chief commercial officer on September 1.

In this capacity Meier will have global responsibility for sales, marketing, segmentation and customer engagement for Travelport GDS, comprising the Galileo and Worldspan brands, and the IT Services and Software lines of business.

Meier will report directly to Gordon Wilson, president and CEO of Travelport GDS. Most recently, Meier was group chief executive officer of Kuoni Travel Holding Ltd.
