Travel Impressions Expands Caribbean Offering with Addition of Martinique
Following the recent launch of Nicaragua, Travel Impressions continues the expansion of its destination portfolio with the addition of Martinique.
Debuting with five chic resorts, including the renowned Le Cap Est Lagoon Resort & Spa, Travel Impressions’ foray into the French isle coincides with American Airlines’ expanded Martinique service from Miami, which links hundreds of U.S. gateways via a second weekly flight on Wednesdays from Nov. 27, 2013 – March 26, 2014, complementing the airline’s existing Saturday service.
Nestled in the heart of the Lesser Antilles between Dominica to the north and St. Lucia to the south, Martinique is truly a “a little bit of France in the Caribbean” known for both its culinary prowess and the sophistication of its accommodations, fashion and art scenes.
Travel Impressions is introducing an impressive collection of luxury resorts in Martinique, including Hôtel Bakoua – MGallery Collection, Hôtel La Pagerie, Hôtel La Suite Villa, Hôtel Plein Soleil and Le Cap Est Lagoon Resort & Spa.
The new program is the result of a partnership with the Martinique Promotion Bureau, which has been actively working to become more accessible to American travelers.
“Martinique offers a truly unique product that distinguishes itself from its neighbors with its French influences and culinary flair,” said John Hanratty, chief operating officer for Travel Impressions. “Its identity is equally European and Caribbean – which really puts it into a category of its own – and will help the destination gain traction among sophisticated travelers in the U.S. market.”
“American Airlines’ convenient flight options will help Martinique become more accessible in the U.S. market, making the island – which was once enjoyed primarily by celebrities and luxury travelers – ripe for mainstream exploration,” Hanratty noted.
