Tourists Outraged over Negligent Service at Sandals in Jamaica
Outraged tourists have united together to publicize an allegedly awful vacation experience during the week of March 11 through 18, 2006 at the Sandals resort in Negril, Jamaica.
Despite prior arrangements, the five star resort reportedly failed to provide airport transportation, adequate sleeping arrangements, appropriate refreshments and provided an inferior level of service, which prompted guests to wonder, “Who is on vacation, me or the people serving us?”
These allegations and many others are included in letters released by Jim and Violet Florence, two of the tourists involved in the complaint.
Another one of the unsatisfied guests was upset enough to register the website domains www.suebeaches.org and www.suebeaches.com while still on vacation at the resort.
According to the group of tourists, loud, vibrating music pulsated from an outside Spring Break Party next door to the resort constantly for two days straight.
This same guest also complained that decaffeinated coffee was unavailable after morning time and one of the two lobby coffee machines was broken for the duration of their stay.
Though it was requested and confirmed before the trip, one guest reportedly spent hours tracking down a refrigerator, which was necessary to store his expensive, life-preserving medication.
