Tourism Corporation Bonaire Taps New Director of Tourism

The Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) announces that Ms. Lara Shawnte Chirino has been appointed the new Director of Tourism, effective Friday, April 1, 2011.

Ms. Chirino has over a decade of experience in the marketing and customer relations field. Prior to her position as Director of Tourism, Ms. Chirino worked for the law firm VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne in Curacao, as a Marketing and Client Relations Coordinator, where she was responsible for all marketing activities for the law firm’s four offices. Her duties included creating and analyzing public relations and communication campaigns, managing their social media network, defining the company’s business development strategies and organizing off-site events.

Ms. Chirino further spent years abroad in The Netherlands, Sydney-Australia, Hong Kong and France. During the remainder of her stay in Sydney, Ms. Chirino worked as a Customer Service Manager, where she was responsible for client relations, website and e-marketing maintenance and all sales transactions.
