Thomson Extends Aruba Flights
With UK visitor numbers growing by over 60 percent in the last two years, Thomson Airways have taken the decision to extend it flights to the Caribbean island of Aruba. Currently their weekly flight from Gatwick on Tuesdays operates from May until October however they will continue to serve the island until the end of November this year. From 2012 the liaison will start even earlier on March 27.
UK director for the Aruba Tourism Authority, Joanna Walding, commented: “British holidaymakers seem to be falling in love with Aruba and now getting to the island has become even easier. With year-round sunshine, high standards of accommodation and of course idyllic beaches - which have just been voted by TripAdvisor No3 in the world! - Aruba has all the ingredients for a holiday to remember”.
