SuperClubs Expands Sonesta Partnership in Brazil

Jamaica-based SuperClubs opened the 142-room Sonesta Brasilia on October 2 in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil.

The hotel venture marks SuperClubs´ second Sonesta-managed property in Brazil in a franchise agreement with Sonesta International Hotels Corp. and third property overall in the South American company.

As part of the partnership, the Sonesta Brasilia is staffed, marketed and managed by a SuperClubs team as is the Sonesta Sao Paulo, its sister property, which opened in December 2004. SuperClubs also runs the Breezes Costa de Sauipe in Bahia, Brazil´s first all-inclusive resort.

“Our partnership with Sonesta has enabled SuperClubs to diversify our corporate expansion strategy in Brazil, and we look forward to continued collaboration in the long term,” said John Issa, SuperClubs´ executive chairman.

An introductory nightly rate of $80 per room, single or double, is offered through December 31. The rate includes breakfast.

Facilities at the Sonesta Brasilia include a fitness center with an outdoor heated pool, a library, a restaurant, a business center, convention facilities for up to 230 people and in-room high-speed Internet access.
