SuperClubs will debut its second Rooms resort in Negril, Jamaica, in December following a major renovation project. Its first property, Rooms, Ocho Rios, opened in December 2005 as a no-frills property for independent travelers, marking a departure from the all-inclusive SuperClubs’ resorts.

The three-acre beachfront property is slated to reopen December 15 as the 70-room Rooms resort, featuring a pool and Jacuzzi, an onsite a la carte restaurant and bar, a gym and conference rooms. The current renovation includes the addition of 24 rooms, including family suites.

“Since launching our first Rooms in Ocho Rios, we have been actively looking for additional opportunities to expand this affiliate brand,” said John Issa, executive chairman. “The central tenet of Rooms is to broaden and deepen the island’s hospitality options by proving a convenient base for independent travelers looking for affordable getaways.”

The new Rooms will operate on a Continental Plan (breakfast included) and welcome singles, couples and families. SuperClubs operates resorts under several brands in the Bahamas, Curacao, the Dominican Republic, Brazil and Panama.
