St. Kitts Seeks Investment for Tourism, Agriculture

St. Kitts is seeking investors to boost tourism and agriculture and help create new jobs. Agriculture Minister Cedric Liburd says the island recently completed a three-year agrotourism program with nearly $63,000 in funding from the Organization of American States.
Liburd said in a statement issued Saturday that he would like to see such efforts continue with help from the private sector. The OAS funds were used to develop historic plantation tours and promote agricultural fairs. Farmers in St. Kitts and Nevis also are providing fruits and vegetables to resort hotels.
