Southwest to Serve Panama City’s New Airport

Southwest said it would begin jet service from four U.S. cities to the new airport near Panama City, Fla., in May.
The airline has not released details, saying only that it would add at least two daily nonstops to four destinations for a total of eight daily flights. The airline plans to divulge specifics by December.
The new international airport is under construction and is scheduled to open in May. Southwest said its entry into Florida’s Panhandle will be made possible in part by optimizing its current flight schedule and repositioning aircraft.
