Sol Melia Buys Plot of Land in Brazil’s Bahia

Spanish hotel chain Sol Melia informed it entered into an agreement for the purchase of a plot of land of 1,173 acres. The oceanfront patch is located in Salvador de Bahia and has 2.2 kilometers of beach front.

The project plans the construction of hotels and resorts, as well as products of the brand, such as its vacation clubs, condo hotels, golf course and spas.

In April next year, Sol Melia will open the Melia Angra Marina & Convention Resort, in Angra dos Reis, on the beach front of Rio de Janeiro, with a total investment of $25 million.
