Sofitel Worldwide Officially Names Robert Gaymer-Jones as CEO
Sofitel Worldwide, part of Accor Group, has officially named Robert Gaymer-Jones as chief executive officer for the luxury hotel chain based in Paris. Gaymer-Jones, who has been acting as CEO for several months, previously served as chief operating officer for Sofitel Worldwide since 2007. He replaces Yann Caillere, who is now president and chief operating officer for Accor Group.
During his three years with Sofitel, Gaymer-Jones has been responsible for implementing Sofitel’s repositioning as a new global luxury brand. He helped complete restyling of the brand, reorganization of the network and an overall implementation of new standards and concepts for the brand, including the launch of the new Sofitel Legend and Sofitel So labels.
Gaymer-Jones has more than 35 years of experience in the luxury international hotel industry, having previously served in top positions for Marriott International and other leading global hotel companies in more than nine countries and three continents.
