Silversea Announces “Grand Voyages” for 2010

Silversea Cruises has unveiled 17 Grand Voyages for 2010. Grand Voyages is designed for travelers who want a more leisurely pace. They offer extended voyages from 30 to 91 days.

Highlighting the Grand Voyages are savings incentives and, for voyages of 50 or more consecutive days, complimentary business-class air upgrades with the purchase of the optional Silver Sky Air Program.

Of special note is Silver Spirit’s Grand Inaugural Voyage, a 91-day journey designed to introduce the new ship to the Americas. Departing Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 21, Silver Spirit will explore over 20 countries and 45 ports. It will sail southward course to Rio (for an evening at Carnaval), sail around Cape Horn and through the Chilean Fjords before heading to the Mexican Riviera.

Guests can disembark in Los Angeles, sail through the Panama Canal to Fort Lauderdale, or continue up America’s colonial coast to New York City. In addition to complimentary excursions and other exclusive onshore events, special amenities available to guests sailing 70 or more days aboard the Grand Inaugural Voyage include private car transfers, luggage forwarding service, business-class air upgrade, commemorative gift, and onboard spending credits of up to $2,000 per suite.
