Sandals Says New Economy Brand Won’t Skimp on Quality, Service
All-inclusive rates at Sandals’ two Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts’ properties, which make up the new budget brand introduced by Sandals Resorts International, are between 35 percent and 55 percent lower than the prices at Sandals, Beaches and Royal Plantation Collection.
“They cover just about everything that our rates at our other properties do, such as rooms, meals, snacks, drinks, water sports and entertainment,” said Adam Stewart, CEO of Sandals Resorts International. “We’re able to offer these rates because the resorts are straightforward, simpler and less expensive to operate and maintain.”
While the prices are lower, Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts “is not sacrificing service or standards,” according to Stewart.
Although additions to the Grand Pineapple brand are not planned in the near future, Stewart did not rule out future expansion on islands beyond the five that now fly the flags of Sandals’ brands.
Grand Pineapple Beach Antigua, formerly the Grand Pineapple Beach Resort on the island’s northeast coast, and Grand Pineapple Beach Negril, the former Negril Gardens in Jamaica, will be reflagged on June 1.
