Sandals Pays Homage to Cricket with Themed Pub
Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica, unveiled the Cricketers’ Pub, featuring a 60-seat restaurant and bar that serves up authentic pub meals and beverages.
Designed to pay homage to the game of cricket and to provide familiar surroundings to its British guests, the pub also features six large-screen TVs showcasing some of the greatest moments in cricket.
“We have been welcoming a high percentage of European guests, particularly British guests, and this is our way of ensuring that they relive the ‘good old days’ of cricket and not miss one live match,” said Jeremy Mutton, general manager.
Adam Stewart, CEO of Sandals Resorts, said that the Cricketers’ Pub is similar to any pub found in Europe or North America. The pub staff is uniformed in the West Indies Cricket World Cup shirts and caps.
