Sales Exec Moves from Costa to Carnival

Joni Rein has been appointed vice president of field sales for Carnival Cruise Lines, effective June 16. She is currently vice president of sales development for sister company Costa Cruises.

In her new position at Carnival, Rein will oversee Carnival’s field sales efforts, particularly with travel agents. In addition to field sales, she will oversee Carnival’s corporate and incentive sales efforts as well as the line’s business development services department, which assists travel agents with their day-to-day business needs.

Rein will report to Lynn Torrent, Carnival’s senior vice president of sales and guest services. Torrent, Costa’s former CEO in North America, assumed her present position at Carnival in March.
