Saint Lucia's Travel Agent Incentive Program to Begin Third Year

The Saint Lucia Piton Awards, which reward top booking travel agents and agencies with cash and hotel incentives, will re-launch in March as part of the Caribbean island’s Preferred Agent Saint Lucia Specialist (PASS) education and training program.

Top booking travel agents who are members of PASS receive hotel incentives as well as $500 for themselves and for their agency. Additionally, the top ten agents per region, who record monthly bookings will win a weekend for two in Saint Lucia to attend the Grand Piton Awards Ceremony, taking place December 4-8, 2014.

To be eligible, agents must complete the Saint Lucia Specialist Course, be IATA/CLIA/ARC/CLAA certified, attend a Saint Lucia presentation at least once per year, and regularly update bookings online.

Laura and Mark Hennigan of Maryland-based Dreamers Travel have won cash prizes for the past three consecutive months.

Hennigan explained, “Partnering with tourist boards like Saint Lucia has played a large role in taking our business to the next level. Thank you to the Saint Lucia team for all they do to support travel agents.”

“We are committed to supporting the needs of SLTB’s travel partners,” said Tracey Warner Arnold, deputy director of tourism for the Saint Lucia Tourist Board. “The PASS program and Piton Awards not only provide financial incentive, but also the necessary resources and information to help deliver memorable experiences to their clients.”

The PASS program offers several benefits including:

• Personalized PASS marketing tools
• Complimentary and discounted FAMs
• Listing on SLTB website
• Access to thousands of travelers from the SLTB via live chats on stlucianow.com
• Complimentary site inspections
• Featured spots within the SLTB monthly e-newsletter
• A chance to win an all expense, all inclusive trip for two
